Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	AM STILL WINNING (K Steyn) and HUNGA TONGA (G Wright) made contact leaving the stalls.
b)	TUSCAN ROMANCE (L Mxothwa) jumped outwards and made contact with TOTTS GIRL (S Veale) which, as a consequence, was slow into stride.

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After being dislodged in Race 2, Jockey A Arries was examined by the course Medical Officer and passed fit to 	ride.
b)	DOUBLE DASH (G van Niekerk) failed to parade and proved difficult proceeding to the start, causing a delay. 	Trainer D McLachlan was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future engagements, she 	may be 	suspended. 
c)	At the 1500m, Jockey K Steyn's (AM STILL WINNING) right-side stirrup leather became undone, which resulted 	in Jockey K Steyn losing his footing in his right-side iron and taking his left foot out of the stirrup iron, which placed 	him at a disadvantage. As a consequence, AM STILL WINNING (K Steyn) raced well in advance of the field and 	tired quickly in the straight.
	Jockey K Steyn's equipment was examined by a Stipendiary Steward and found to be in good order.
d)	Shortly after the start, MONEY EXTRACTOR (M Winnaar) shifted in sharply and had to be steadied away from 	the heels of DOUBLE DASH (G van Niekerk).
e)	Shortly after the start ENGLISH MISTRESS (A Domeyer), which shifted out slightly, was brushed on the 	hindquarters by TUSCAN ROMANCE (L Mxothwa), which then had to be steadied.
f)	Leaving the 200m STRAWBERRY THIEF (R Fourie), which was hanging in, was held up for a number of strides 	when close to the heels of TUSCAN ROMANCE (L Mxothwa).
g)	In view of the performance of MONEY EXTRACTOR (M Winnaar), which finished tailed off, the Veterinary 	Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
h)	DOUBLE DASH, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer D McLachlan was advised. (TL)
