THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	UNITED EXPRESS (S Khathi) and GREENLIGHT DANCER (C Zackey) jumped slow, losing one length.
b)	CHERE FOR ME (J Gates) was slow into stride. 	
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	RAINBOW RIVER (C Maujean) was baulked for a clear run between the 300m and the 100m.
b)	In view of the performance of IGNITETHELIGHT (R Fourie) (Betting 18/10; Distance 8.10 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
	Trainer AC Greeff was advised to report back should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables.
c)	Jockey E Webber was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline 3 in Appendix E on 	the use of the crop) in that he mis-used his crop by striking STRANGE MAGIC in front of the saddle with his 	hand off the reins at the 500m. Jockey E Webber signed an admission of guilt and was fined R1 000.00.
d)	SUN SPECTACULAR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer K Mitchley was advised. (LM)
