Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	FROM THE HIP (J Solomons) was slow into stride.
b)	NOBLE HERO (M Winnaar) and TYPICALLY FRENCH (M Mjoka) made contact leaving the stalls and, as a consequence, TYPICALLY FRENCH (M Mjoka) was slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	Jockey M Winnaar (NOBLE HERO) dropped his crop at the 150m.
b)	TYPICALLY FRENCH (M Mjoka) was hanging in in the latter stages.
c)	Jockey O Noach reported that GRAND ALLEGRO took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was 	requested to examine this gelding.
d)	Jockey L Mxothwa was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the 	crop) in that as the rider of REAL STUNNER he misused his crop by striking REAL STUNNER more than 12 	times (13) which was not warranted when considering the circumstances of the race. Jockey L Mxothwa signed 	an admission of guilt and was fined R2000,00. 
e)	LANDOFTHERISINGSUN, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer SJ Snaith was advised. (SC)
