Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BELA VISTA (C Zackey) and LA DIVINA (C Orffer) were reluctant to load.
b)	FROM A DISTANCE (G van Niekerk) jumped awkwardly.
c)	EASY LIVING (M Mjoka) and SOHOT SOWHAT (G Lerena) were slow into stride.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	At the 200m GIRL MAGIC (O Noach) had to be checked away from the heels of JOU LEKKER DING (G 	Wright) when carried outwards by BELA VISTA (C Zackey), which was improving into a narrow run between JOU 	LEKKER DING (G Wright), which rolled in marginally and LA DIVINA (C Orffer), which shifted out away from 	SOHOT SOWHAT (G Lerena).
b)	At the 100m BELA VISTA (C Zackey) and LA DIVINA (C Orffer) bumped heavily, became unbalanced and had 	to be checked, losing all momentum while racing on the outside of SOHOT SOWHAT (G Lerena) which shifted 	out. The Stewards have adjourned to review this incident. 
	When interviewed regarding his riding in the latter 	stages, 	Jockey C Zackey told the Stewards that after suffering 	severe 	interference, BELA VISTA had become unbalanced and had felt uncomfortable in its action. He further 	told the 	Stewards that during this incident, the bridle had become slightly displaced. The Stewards have 	adjourned to consider Jockey C Zackey's statement and have requested that Trainer SJ Snaith report back 	should he find anything amiss with this filly on her return to the stables.
c)	Jockey C Bantam reported that CRYSTAL MAIDEN did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon 	was requested to examine this filly.
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding BELA VISTA (C Zackey) and LA DIVINA (C Orffer), Trainers SJ Snaith and WA Nel have been advised to have these fillies re-schooled prior to their next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10.
e)	JOU LEKKER DING, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer VH Marshall was advised. (TJ)
