THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LA BANQUIERE (M Yeni) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) A KINGS RETURN (*K Brewer) was hanging out around the turn and raced wide. b) LA BANQUIERE (M Yeni) was hanging in from the 400m, proving difficult to assist. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) The saddle on LA BANQUIERE (M Yeni) slipped side-ways in the running. This was confirmed by the video evidence. d) Jockey D Dillon reported that he felt something amiss with SHOT OF COURAGE in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of NAZDAROVYA (A Marcus) (4.10 lengths, 11/10 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) GAUL RULER (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer N Roscoe acting for Trainer D Kannemeyer advised (NS). g) NAZDAROVYA (A Marcus), unplaced, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
