THE STARTER REPORTED: a) A fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Leaving the starting stalls NARINA TROGON (T Godden) and FIELD MARSHAL (K Matsunyane) were tightened and bumped between AFRICAN SKYLINE (S Moodley) which jumped out and FORMAGEAR (G Lerena) which jumped in. b) Jockey R A Venniker reported that DIANI took no interest in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) AFRICAN SKYLINE (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G B Puller was advised (DZ). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) AFRICAN SKYLINE: Abnormal respiratory noise. b) FIELD MARSHAL: Returned post-race having cast his left front shoe. c) DIANI: Nothing obvious detected.
