THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RONDEBOSCH (K Matsunyane) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CHOCOLATE SOLDIER (R Munger) hung in in the concluding stages. b) Jockey G Lerena reported that PISTOL PETE tired badly in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) Jockey P Strydom reported DANTONFROMSANDTON took a number of awkward strides in the concluding stages. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) TRUTH (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
