THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	BELA VISTA (C Zackey) was stubborn loading, causing a delay and thereafter was slow into stride.
b)	SPLICETHEMAINBRACE (R Fourie) and PROTECT THE DREAM (M Yeni) were slow into stride. 
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	SPLICETHEMAINBRACE (R Fourie) over raced in the early and middle stages.
b)	PROTECT THE DREAM (M Yeni), which over raced in the early and middle stages, shifted out and made 	contact 	with QUEEN OF JAZZ (S Naidoo) at approximately the 1400m.
c)	SPLICETHEMAINBRACE (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 450m and was corrected at the 100m.
d)	In view of the report from the Starter regarding BELA VISTA (C Zackey), this filly's starting stall certificate has 	been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to 	be tractable to load with a companion. (Suspension dates: 01/03/2025 to 07/03/2025 inclusive) BELA VISTA 	may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
e)	Jockey S Naidoo was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline G on the use of the 	crop) in that he mis-used his crop by striking QUEEN OF JAZZ unnecessarily when he was out of contention 	for a place. Jockey S Naidoo signed an admission of guilt and was given a warning.
f)	SPLICETHEMAINBRACE, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AC 	Greeff was advised. (LM)
