Stipes Report
The start of this race was delayed due to the late arrival of the horses at the start. THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AXIS POWER (S Hlengwa) was restless in the stalls. b) TICKALOX (*B Marx-Jacobson) and REMUS FROM ROME (C Maujean) stood, losing many lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) REMUS FROM ROME (C Maujean) which stood and lost many lengths on debut, was unable to make up the deficit, and raced detached throughout. b) Shortly after the start HALF SOVEREIGN (M Thackeray) and AXIS POWER (S Hlengwa) came together and brushed on a number of occasions. c) TICKALOX (*B Marx-Jacobson) hung out from the 300m. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to TICKALOX (*B Marx-Jacobson) and REMUS FROM ROME (C Maujean) these geldings' starting stall certificates are withdrawn and they are suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as they prove tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 07.04.2025 to the 13.04.2025. TICKALOX and REMUS FROM ROME may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainers M J Odendaal and N Kotzen respectively were advised.
