THE STARTER REPORTED: a) QUATERMAIN (R A Venniker) was restless in the stalls. b) JOHNNY THE THIEF (C Habib) and TROIS TROIS QUATRE (T Godden) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start TROIS TROIS QUATRE (T Godden) was squeezed out when awkwardly placed between JOHNNY THE THIEF (C Habib) and FRENCH TRIP (K Matsunyane), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) TROIS TROIS QUATRE (T Godden) brushed the inside rail at the 900m. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss in the running with VIEW OF THE WORLD. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) FIELD MARSHAL (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F Robinson was advised (DZ).
