THE STARTER REPORTED: a) POISE PANACHE (S Naidoo) was stubborn loading, nervous in the stalls and fly-jumped leaving the stalls, losing two lengths. b) GENTEEL (C Habib), COSMIC CLIFFS (S Khathi) and MAXIGIRL (L Mxothwa) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. b) The Stewards called for a race review regarding an incident involving TWILIGHT BAY (C Zackey), BLOSSOMING MIND (M Yeni), DUCHESS OF SEVILLE (R Fourie) and DANCING IN WINTER (G Wright) at the 100m. After viewing the video footage and due to the distance of 1.25 lengths between 1st and 2nd-placed and 2nd and 3rd-placed respectively, took no further action. c) An Inquiry will be held into the reason TWILIGHT BAY (C Zackey) had to steady at the 100m. d) BLOSSOMING MIND, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee Z Xamle, acting on behalf of Trainer SJ Snaith, was advised. (LM) e) DANCING IN WINTER, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
