THE STARTER REPORTED:  
a)	A fair start.
  
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a)	LEGAL COUNSEL (J P v'd Merwe) over-raced in the early stages.
b)	Approaching the 100m FIRE 'N FLAMES (R A Venniker) and COMMAND PILOT (C Habib) were carried out and had to steady when on the heels of NARINA TROGON (T Godden), which shifted out away from the crop. During this incident I SALUTE YOU (M Yeni) which showed a tendency to hang inwards, was bumped by COMMAND PILOT (C Habib) and was unbalanced. 
c)	Jockey T Godden signed an Admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of NARINA TROGON, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to FIRE 'N FLAMES (R A Venniker), I SALUTE YOU (M Yeni) and COMMAND PILOT (C Habib) in the concluding stages. Accordingly, a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed.  Suspension dates to be advised. 
d)	In the concluding stages I SALUTE YOU (M Yeni) and SELUKWE (S Moodley) came together and brushed on two occasions. A Stipendiary Steward called a race review into this incident. After viewing the patrol film it was determined that this incident was due to both horses shifting ground and that the result had not been affected as a consequence. 
e)	Jockey Yeni (I SALUTE YOU) appeared before the Board and was shown the patrol film with regard to his riding in the concluding stages. The Board advised Jockey Yeni that while there had been an incident in the closing stages that led to a race review, they were concerned with the movement of his left hand in the finish which appeared that he was inclined to direct his mount outwards towards SELUKWE (S Moodley). Jockey Yeni was advised that while the Stewards encourage competitive riding, there should be no room for query regarding his intentions while riding his mounts.
f)	Jockey K Matsunyane reported that QUATERMAIN made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.  
g)	An Inquiry will be opened into Jockey S Moodley's (SELUKWE) crop use in this race.
h)	I SALUTE YOU (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P B Muscutt was advised (NS).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a)	QUATERMAIN raced equipped with blinkers and a compression mask (advised 12.04.2025/05h56).

RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER :
a)	Jockey C Habib (COMMAND PILOT) weighed out at 54.4kg, 0.5kg over the carded weight.
