THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	FURIOUS QUEEN (*B Plaatjies) was restless in the stalls.
b)	ACROSS THE BOW (D Ashby) and WORDLY (M Mjoka) jumped slow, losing one length.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, PALACE GIFT (O Noach) lifted its left front shoe on the way to the start which had to be replaced, causing a delay.
b)	FLYING FINLEY (*S Bungane), which had come to the end of its run, was carried outward by UNITED NATION (S Veale) at approximately the 300m and thereafter, FLYING FINLEY (*S Bungane) shifted inwards sharply from the 100m.
c)	PIROSHKA (G Wright) was hanging out from the 250m.
d)	COUNTER ATTACK (JP van der Merwe) was steadied momentarily and had to be directed inwards when awkwardly placed on the inside of FURIOUS QUEEN (*B Plaatjies), which shifted outwards away from the crop at the 200m.
e)	An Inquiry will be opened into Jockey M Yeni's (CROWNED HORNBILL) use of the crop in the latter stages.
f)	Jockeys D Ashby and C Orffer reported that ACROSS THE BOW and GOLDEN TATIANA respectively did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
