Stipes Report

THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) 	During the loading process, BATTLE OFTHE BULGE (D De Gouveia) kicked the back gates, was removed from the stalls, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. 

THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a)	At approximately the 250m, ALAKANANI (*K J Lihaba) became unbalanced when having to check severely after being bumped in by STOP THE TRAFFIC (P Mxoli), which shifted in away from the crop from the 300m.
Jockey P Mxoli was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that he, as the rider of STOP THE TRAFFIC, failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to ALAKANANI (*K J Lihaba) when he shifted in at approximately the 250m. Jockey P Mxoli signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in races for a period of fourteen (14) days. When assessing the penalty, the Stewards considered the degree of negligence, and the consequences thereof, associated with the incident.

b)	BLURRED VISION (M K Katjedi) hung out in the concluding stages.
c)	Jockey C Zackey reported that he felt something amiss with INCLUSION  in running. 
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. 	
d)	STOP THE TRAFFIC (P Mxoli), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

a)	ALAKANANI raced without cheek pieces (declared 11 April 2025 at 12H35).	
b)	GIFT OF ROYAL raced with club colours (all black). 
Trainer B Webber was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he did not have available the registered colours of the owner/s of GIFT OF ROYAL. Trainer B Webber signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R250 was imposed.

a)	INCLUSION fatigued.
