THE STARTER REPORTED:

a)	TRIPPI'S SILK (S Veale) fly-jumped leaving the stalls.
b)	MIGHTY MAC (*S Bungane) jumped slow, losing one length.
	
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: 

a)	On arriving at the start Jockey C Orffer expressed concern with PRINCE OF TIBET action while proceeding to the start. This gelding was examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon and passed suitable to race.
b)	SUN DAZED (M Winnaar) was continually held up for a clear run between the 400m and the 150m.
c)	NILE THE BOSS (G Wright) was brushed by SUN DAZED (M Winnaar) in the latter stages.
d)	Jockeys JP van der Merwe and C Little reported that TRUE HORIZON and TAMBOURINE MAN did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine.
e)	TRIPPI'S SILK, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.  Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised. (TJ)
