The start of this Race was delayed due to OOH LA LA having her right front shoe re-fitted at the start. In the straight, DANCING FEATHER shifted out on at least two separate occasions when appearing to react to LIQUID IRISH, who shifted both ways, from the 400m, whilst changing legs on a number of occasions. Jockey Kennedy appeared before the Board and was afforded the opportunity to place on record any factors which contributed to the performance of DANCING FEATHER. In this regard, he explained to the Board that, this filly was in a stronger field and dropping in trip today, which made her task to win the race more difficult. Additionally, he was of the view that, she had not been aided by the various outward movements of LIQUID IRISH. Notwithstanding this explanation, in view of the performance of DANCING FEATHER, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. Jockey Zackey reported that MARSANNE made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. LIQUID IRISH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: MARSANNE - not striding out left hind. DANCING FEATHER - nothing obvious detected.
