THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SOUTHERN BLAZE (*P Mxoli) stood losing many lengths. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Assistant Trainer N Titise, acting on behalf of Trainer S T Pettigrew, was advised (PHvdW). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At approximately the 1200m, MY MASTER (C Habib), which commenced to over-race, and SILVER STARDUST (M Yeni) came together and bumped. Shortly thereafter, MY MASTER (C Habib) took an awkward stride. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SOUTHERN BLAZE, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable jumping with a companion. Suspension dates: 9 September 2022 to 15 September 2022. SOUTHERN BLAZE may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Assistant Trainer N Titise, acting on behalf of Trainer S T Pettigrew, was advised. c) BERENGARIA (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
