The start of this Race was delayed due to LIGHTNING PARCADOR refusing to load. LIGHTNING PARCADOR refused to load and was scratched. MONARCHY lost one length. In view of the Starter's report with regard to LIGHTNING PARCADOR, this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and he was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable with a companion. LIGHTNING PARCADOR may not be presented for re-passing during this period. MONARCHY, INTO THE FUTURE and CAPTAIN DEMONAMI over-raced in the early and middle stages. In the closing stages, BATTLE OF ASIA was awkwardly placed between JACK'S BIRD which rolled out and SPECIAL BLEND which rolled in, marginally. Jockey Moodley reported that MONARCHY made a severe respiratory noise in the running. Jockey Wright reported that INTO THE FUTURE was not striding out freely in the running. Jockey Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with SWAGGER JAGGER in the running. FOOLS GOLD and BROOKLYN were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
