THE STARTER REPORTED: a) AMERICAN STYLE (K de Melo) was stubborn to load and was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) From a wide draw, MALCOLM'S DREAM (*C Dicken) raced around the field and into a handy position at the 1600m. Thereafter, this filly finished its race off strongly. b) AMERICAN STYLE (K de Melo) which was hanging out between the 700m and the 350m, raced wide on the latter part of the turn and into the straight. c) In view of the performance of AMERICAN STYLE (K de Melo) (6.60 lengths, 9/4 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) MALCOLM'S DREAM (*C Dicken), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
