THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SPECIAL CHARM (S Veale) and TOP HONOURS (*C Dicken) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 300m, BELL STARBUSTER (*M Katjedi) had to ease and was switched inwards to avoid running onto the heels of CAPRICCIO (J Gates) which shifted out away from the crop. Jockey J Gates signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of CAPRICCIO, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horse BELL STARBUSTER (*M Katjedi) at the 300m. Accordingly, a penalty of a suspension of riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed. (Suspension dates to be advised). b) Apprentice C Dicken reported that TOP HONOURS changed stride in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) CAPRICCIO (J Gates), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P M Gadsby advised (NS).
