THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ABOVE THE WORLD (M van Rensburg) broke through the front gates. This filly was restrained by her rider, returned to the start, examined by the Course Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. The Starting Stall Certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. b) GLITTERING BOOTS (M Yeni) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) WAR EMPRESS (J Mariba) was stubborn loading and thereafter jumped outwards leaving the stalls. d) HEY NOW (*K A Brewer) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ABOVE THE WORLD, this filly has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 5 October 2022 to 11 October 2022. ABOVE THE WORLD may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer C Spies advised (JB). b) ABOVE THE WORLD (M van Rensburg) was brushed out by WAR EMPRESS (J Mariba) which jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) A TIME TO FLOWER (K Matsunyane) hung in from the 400m. d) Jockey M Khan reported that he felt something amiss with ARROW SKY in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. e) A TIME TO FLOWER (K Matsunyane), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) QUEEN'S NAVY raced equipped with alumites in front and unshod behind (declared 27 September 2022 at 08H44). b) ABOVE THE WORLD raced fitted with a compression mask on (declared 28 September 2022 at 11H21).
