THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) RAISING A STORM (M Khan), ULTIMA ICTU (J Mariba), ALL AROUND LOVE (J Penny) and GRACIOUS ROCK (J P van der Merwe) were slow into stride.
b) LINDA'S LEGACY (C Zackey) refused to load. Scratched by the Starter. The Starting Stall Certificate for this filly has been withdrawn.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to LINDA'S LEGACY, this filly has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 5 October 2022 to 11 October 2022. LINDA'S LEGACY may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer C J Lensley advised (GT).
b) WILKIES (*K A Brewer) raced wide around the turn, into the straight and compounded form the 250m.
c) GRACIOUS ROCK (J P van der Merwe) which failed to muster speed on debut and raced detached at the rear of the field and thereafter compounded from the 400m.
c) ALL AROUND LOVE (J Penny) commenced to give ground to the field from the 200m.
d) Jockey N Klink did not persevere with his riding in the concluding stages and thereafter reported that he felt something amiss with PRIMROSE PATH in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly.
e) EASTERN WORLD (D De Gouveia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Dawson advised (RS).
f) GREENLIGHTRANGER (M Yeni), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C J Lensley advised (MS).
JOCKEY CHANGES:
a) PRIMROSE PATH was ridden by Jockey N Klink (declared 3 October 2022 at 10H26).
