THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, PRINCE TYRION (R Fourie) clipped the heels of AULD MUG (R Khathi) which was carried out by HEAD GARDENER (*J Solomons) which jumped out. As a consequence of this, ANOTHERDAYINAFRICA (S Moodley) and GENERAL HANCOCK (J Gates) were tightened for galloping room and lost ground to the field. b) PRINCE TYRION (R Fourie) was hanging in throughout, proving difficult to assist. In view of this, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) Jockey K Matsunyane (FIERY DUKE) accidentally dropped his crop at the 150m. d) At the 150m, TRADE WAR (M Yeni) was briefly tightened between SAIPAN (*S Hlengwa) and IMITATION GAME (*G Pieterse) which was hanging in from the 300m and shifted in. e) TRADE WAR (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer N Kotzen advised (DZ).
