THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) KYNISKA (*C Dicken) and SEA OF TEARS (M Yeni) came together and bumped shortly after the start. b) DECLARE WAR (C Ngcobo) was hanging in throughout. c) At the 300m, WHISPERING GREEN (S Moodley) was brushed out by RANI'S CHOICE (A Mgudlwa) which rolled out. d) ROYAL OASIS (R Fourie) was hanging in from the 250m. e) At the 250m, SEA OF TEARS (M Yeni) was eased off the heels of ANGELIC FORT (K Matsunyane) which shifted in from the 300m. Jockey K Matsunyane signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of ANGELIC FORT, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horse SEA OF TEARS (M Yeni) at the 250m. Accordingly, a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed.
