THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GENTLEMAN'S WAY (M Yeni) was restless in the starting stalls which resulted in FIRU STAR (A Mgudlwa) becoming restless and rearing in the stalls, which resulted in it getting caught up in the adjacent stall gate 4. Both GENTLEMAN'S WAY and FIRU STAR were removed from the starting stalls. FIRU STAR was examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and subsequently withdrawn. Thereafter, GENTLEMAN'S WAY refused to load and was withdrawn. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) SPY MASTER (T Godden) stumbled in the pull-up area, dislodging Jockey T Godden which resulted in him being incapacitated from weighing back in. The Board acting in terms of Rule 66.2, deemed his weight to be correct. b) In view of the performance of FOREST JUMP (*M Katjedi) (10.60 lengths, 10/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GENTLEMAN'S WAY (M Yeni), this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion on a race day. Suspension dates: 18.10.22 to the 24.10.22. GENTLEMAN'S WAY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer D Bosch was advised.
