BUZZ WORD was nervous in the stalls, slow away and lost 1 length. ORIENTAL WORLD was slow away and lost 1 length. ANDREA was nervous in the stalls and jumped outwards. QUARARI'S VALENTYN was nervous in the stalls and stumbled at the off. WICKED GRIN was nervous in the stalls. DADS ROOTS kicked the back gate in the stalls. FORBIDDEN AFFAIR was stubborn loading, slow away and lost 1 length. Trainer Greeff was advised to re-school this gelding prior to his next engagement. Shortly after the start, QUARARI'S VALENTYN stumbled and was bumped out by ANDREA, which jumped outwards. LE WARRIOR was hanging in from the 300m. In view of the performance of TIME FOR LAUNCH, the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. After the running of this race, the Jockey's representatives approached the Stipendiary Board as they had concerns regarding the declared official going of the race track, they submitted that the track was slightly softer than the penetrometer reading suggested and recommended that it be changed from Good to Soft to Soft. The Stipendiary Board in conjunction with the track Manager and Phumelela representative subsequently altered the track reading accordingly WICKED GRIN and GOOD TIMES ROLL were selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: ST PATRICK'S FLAME - speedy cut left hind. BUZZ WORD - abnormal respiratory noise. THOMAS TUCKER - post race distress syndrome. TIME FOR LAUNCH - nothing obvious detected.
