THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GIMME A RAINBOW (S Moodley) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) The Stewards called a race review into the start regarding CAPETOWN AFFAIR (M Yeni) in stall gate 2. It was established that this gelding had lifted its right hind shortly before the start, placed this leg down and then as the Starter effected the start, it lifted this limb once again and stumbled as the gates opened when this leg was placed upon the partition of the starting stall. As this incident was due to this horse's own behaviour and that the Starter could not have been aware of this incident when effecting the Start, CAPETOWN AFFAIR was declared a runner. b) ALLAROUNDTHEWORLD (GB) (C Habib) was hanging in from the 250m. c) In the concluding stages, FINAL DESTINY (A Arries) was brushed in by CAPETOWN AFFAIR (M Yeni) which was switched to the inside of HATTA (*R Venniker) to continue its run. d) Jockey T Godden reported that he felt something amiss with WALTON HALL in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) WHITE CEDAR (*M Katjedi), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer G I Rich advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) WALTON HALL raced equipped with blinkers (advised 25.10.22/5h32). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
