THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SOUND CHECK (R Fourie) was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performance of SOUND CHECK (R Fourie), which tired quickly in the latter stages, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) In view of the report from the starter regarding SOUND CHECK (R Fourie), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for seven days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 29/10/2022 to 04/11/2022 inclusive). SOUND CHECK may not be presented for re-passing during this period. c) Trainer GD Smith was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to have available the registered colours of the owner/s of the horse CIVIL RIGHTS. Trainer GD Smith signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250,00. d) CIVIL RIGHTS, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
