THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DISPLACE TIME (M Yeni) was examined at the start by the veterinary surgeon and passed suitable to race. b) BORN A STAR (W Agrella) was examined at the start by the veterinary surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay. c) GLOBETONIC (JP van der Merwe) was stubborn loading. d) PICTURE THE MOMENT (K Minnie) and CROWN PLAZA (S Khumalo) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The all-clear of this race was delayed as it was established that the incorrect result had been entered on the system. This had to be corrected before the all-clear could be effected. This matter will be investigated. b) Approaching the 150m JET CAPTAIN (*J Solomons) was momentarily inconvenienced on the outside of MISS ROSE (Y Ramzan), which shifted out. c) Jockey M Yeni reported that DISPLACE TIME, which finished tailed off, did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that he felt something amiss with ALLOWAY GROVE and he did not persevere with his riding from the 200m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare. e) Jockey K de Melo reported that BIG SKY COUNTRY did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this mare. f) Jockey M Mjoka reported that GENTLEMAN did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. g) GLOBETONIC, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer GD Smith was advised.
