AMERICAN PRINCESS was restless in the stalls, losing 3 lengths. ISLA MORADA lost 1 length. A race review, pertaining to AMERICAN PRINCESS, drawn in stall gate 6, was called into the start of this race. However, after reviewing the patrol films of the race, the Stipendiary Board took no further action. In arriving at this decision, the Board considered that, whilst AMERICAN PRINCESS was very restless in the stalls, and subsequently lost ground at the start, this loss of distance was as a consequence of her own behaviour. Therefore, the Board deemed this filly to be a runner. Notwithstanding this report, in view of the performance of AMERICAN PRINCESS, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. In view of the Starter's Report concerning AMERICAN PRINCESS, the starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn and she is suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable in the starting stalls to jump on terms with a companion. AMERICAN PRINCESS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Shortly after the start, SPRING LIGHTNING took an awkward stride. Apprentice Gates reported NETANYA was not striding out freely in running. CHERRY ROAD was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. SPRING LIGHTNING raced fitted with alumites both fore and unshod behind. Vet: AMERICAN PRINCESS and NETANYA - nothing obvious detected.
