THE STARTER REPORTED: a) WINNING CAPTAIN (O Noach) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. b) LOGISTICAL (K de Melo) and OTIS THE BRAVE (D Ashby) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The saddle on GIMME GORGEOUS (K Matsunyane) slipped back marginally in running. This was confirmed by a Stipendiary Steward. b) Jockey K Matsunyane (GIMME GORGEOUS) had difficulty changing his crop into his right hand at the 300m. c) AFRODITE (JP van der Merwe) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1.
