The start of this Race was rescheduled due to the late scratching of BORN TO PERFORM, who refused to proceed to the start. Thereafter, the start of this race was delayed due to FRANCISCO proving reluctant to load. Light rain fell before and during the running of the 8th Race. VINSON lost 1 length. FRANCISCO was stubborn and difficult to load. FARLAND raced wide into the first turn whilst over-racing in the early and middle stages. DRUNKEN SAILOR shifted out away from the crop from the 250m. BORN TO PERFORM proved reluctant to proceed to the start. Trainer D Bosch was advised that should this gelding behave similarly in future he may be suspended. In deciding what action to take against this horse, the Board considered his non-history in proceeding to the start. In view of the Starter's Report concerning FRANCISCO, the starting stall certificates for this gelding has been withdrawn and he is suspended for a period of 7 days and until he proves tractable in the starting stalls with a companion. FRANCISCO may not be presented for re-passing during this period. VINSON raced in Club colours. GIMME PEACE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Scratched: STREAM AHEAD - left hind muscle strain. THREE DOG NIGHT - swollen right fore joint. BORN TO PERFORM - refused to proceed to the start and was withdrawn.
