THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GRANDE LUPO (A Mgudlwa) was restless in the stalls and lost one length. b) ARSENE LUPIN (R Khathi) lost three lengths. c) WALLACE SWORD (J Gates) and MCCARTNEY (K de Melo) lost one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) A race review was called into the Start of this Race with regard to the runners in starting stalls 3 and 7. After reviewing the Start the Board concluded that GRANDE LUPO (A Mgudlwa) and MCCARTNEY (K de Melo) became restless as the Start was effected and therefore lost ground. As a result no further action was taken. b) WALLACE SWORD (J Gates) raced green. c) Jockey K de Melo reported that MCCARTNEY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) At approximately the 1000m, the bit pulled through the mouth of ARSENE LUPIN (R Khathi) resulting in the brow band slipping across the right ear of this colt. e) CARAMEL FUDGE (A Arries), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer M Clarke acting on behalf of Trainer G Puller was advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) WALLACE SWORD raced with a tongue tie (advised 25.11.2022 / 08h58). b) ACTION TIME raced equipped with blinkers (advised 23.11.2022 / 10h27).
