THE STARTER REPORTED: a) HUNTING TRIP (R Fourie) was fractious in the stalls, taken out, examined by the course veterinary surgeon, passed suitable to race and reloaded. b) SONIC BURST (K Steyn) and STIPTELIK (AUS) (K de Melo) were restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) At the 150m PHEDRA (R Danielson) was steadied when awkwardly placed between WHOA WHOA WHOA (AUS) (L Mxothwa) and GOING UP (G Wright), which rolled out slightly. b) Approaching the 100m SANTA MARIA (A Domeyer) was directed to the inside of IPHIKO (M Yeni) to secure clear running. c) In view of the report from the starter regarding HUNTING TRIP (R Fourie), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended for 7 days in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 04/12/2022 to 10/12/2022 inclusive). HUNTING TRIP may not be presented for re-passing during this period. d) PRINCESS CALLA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S Tarry was advised.
