THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRETTY ANALIA (S Moodley) was restless in the stalls and rushed the front gates. This filly was unloaded and examined by the course Veterinary Surgeon, was passed fit to race and reloaded. b) DADDY'S JET (R Khathi) was restless in the stalls, reared and lost 2 lengths as the start was effected. Trainer N Kotzen has been advised to re-school this filly (SL). c) VENETIAN LINK (*D B Geerthsen) was slow, losing 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start RIO SUPREMO (*S Hlengwa) and PRETTY ANALIA (S Moodley) came together and bumped. b) At approximately the 300m, Jockey C Habib felt something amiss with ILLUMINATED WAY and eased this filly out of the race. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) ALLEEYAH'S UNICORN (*M K Katjedi) was hanging in from the 300m d) In view of the performance of DADDY'S JET (R Khathi) (4.20 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning ILLUMINATED WAY (C Habib), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority (Suspension dates 05.12.22 - 02.02.23 dbi). Trainer D S Bosch was advised (MB) f) CINNAMON BLUSH (A Mgudlwa), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Whitehead advised (HM).
