THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DANSE MILORD (*R Venniker) commenced to over-race in the early and middle stages, proving difficult to assist. Thereafter, at approximately the 1200m, DANSE MILORD (*R Venniker) had to switch out to avoid running onto the heels of SING FOR WINTER (*K Brewer) and in turn, RISE (*M Katjedi) was carried out around the turn by DANSE MILORD (*R Venniker). b) Apprentice P Mxoli reported that MEL'S PRINCESS did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning RISE, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this mare is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer C Hewitson was advised. (Suspension dates : 06.12.22 - 03.02.23, bdi) d) SING FOR WINTER (*K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer O Mhlamvu acting on behalf of Trainer G H van Zyl advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) DANSE MILORD raced with a tongue tie (advised 05.12.22/8h49).
