THE STARTER REPORTED: a) THE LAST BELLE (T Gould) was stubborn loading. b) COPERNICUS (J Mphanya), SUNSET REAPER (M Mjoka) and LAST STORM (L Mxothwa) jumped slow, losing one length. c) IMPERIAL WINTER (S Khumalo) jumped slow, losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey M Mjoka reported that SUNSET REAPER took no interest in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Jockey S Khumalo reported that IMPERIAL WINTER took no interest in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this colt. c) Trainer JP Nel was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to have available the registered colours of the owner/s of the horse THE LAST BELLE.
