THE STARTER REPORTED: a) The tongue tie on RAZOR RED (R Munger) was re-fitted at the start. b) DOG DETACHMENT (X Ndlovu) was stubborn loading. c) PICTURE THE MOMENT (K Minnie) was nervous in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After leaving the parade ring correctly shod, VENETA cast its left front shoe on the way to the start which had to be replaced, causing a delay. b) BETHEL (S Khathi) pulled hard in the early stages. c) Jockey L Mxothwa (EL ROMIACHI), which shifted in away from the crop from the 100m, dropped his right-side rein leaving the 100m, which he only regained after the finish. d) Jockey C Maujean reported that SOWETO ROSE felt uncomfortable in its action and failed to respond to his urgings in the straight. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockey M Yeni reported that MARADIVA tired quickly from the 200m. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) Jockey R Ramzan reported that he felt something amiss with COOL RUNNINGS. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. g) Jockey R Fourie reported that he felt something amiss with PAULLY.
