THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, WINGS OF NIKE (*M K Katjedi) became restless, nudging the front gate open which was reset. b) ROZARA (R Munger), ROSE FOR TRIPPI (S Khumalo) and DANCING DORA (C Maujean) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Leaving the 900m, DANCING DORA (C Maujean) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the outside of BLUE WATERS (M van Rensburg) and the heels of MYTHICAL DREAM (K de Melo). b) At approximately the 500m, MYTHICAL DREAM (K de Melo) brushed the outside running rail. c) ROSE FOR TRIPPI (S Khumalo) rolled in from the 300m. d) Jockey J P van der Merwe reported that he felt something amiss with PRINCESS NICOLE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. e) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning PRINCESS NICOLE, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this mare is suspended for 120 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer C I Jonker was advised. f) ROSE FOR TRIPPI (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee A Mdiyana, acting on behalf of Trainers M/A Azzie, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) PRINCESS NICOLE was ridden by J P van der Merwe (declared 15 December 2022 at 08H00). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) PRINCESS NICOLE bilateral epistaxis, recommended 120-day suspension.
