THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LUCIA POPPOVA (K Matsunyane) and DILLUH (T Godden) lost 1 length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Shortly after the start, TRIP TO NEBRASKA (S Khumalo) was buffeted between MADAME ZAMBRE (A Mgudlwa) and COLUMBIA ROAD (S Veale), losing position. b) After having been ridden forward in the early stages, ADELANTE (C Habib) over-raced in the middle stages and thereafter compounded and was not persevered with in the concluding stages. In view of this the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey T Godden reported that DILLUH changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) Apprentice R A Venniker reported that IF YOU SAY SO took a number of awkward strides in the running. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. e) In view of the performance of TRIP TO NEBRASKA (S Khumalo) (19.75 lengths, 15/4 betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) COLUMBIA ROAD (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
