THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SHOEFELLA (S Veale) was reluctant to load. b) CAFE CULTURE (B Fayd'Herbe) was reluctant to load and jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The start of this race was delayed due to the delay in the previous race. b) RUN FOR ME (P Strydom) refused to settle in the early and middle stages. c) At the 800m CAFE CULTURE (B Fayd'Herbe) shifted in, brushed the inside running rail and then took an awkward stride, losing momentum. MASTER JOSH (L Mxothwa), RUN FOR ME (P Strydom) and AUTUMN MOON (O Noach), which were following, were steadied as a consequence. In view of this report, the veterinary surgeon was requested to examine CAFE CULTURE (B Fayd'Herbe). d) Approaching the 200m CONTIGUOUS (C Orffer) and MONTIEN (J Jacobs) brushed on two occasions. e) LONGSHANKS (A Domeyer) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1. (Dr J Batt) JOCKEY AND/OR EQUIPMENT CHANGES: a) B Fayd'Herbe (CAFE CULTURE) rode +0.5kg (59.9kgs) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER a) Nil THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) CAFE CULTURE - examined post-race. Nothing obvious detected b) LONGSHANKS - bilateral epistaxis. Suspended 60 days.
