THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GOLDEN PACIFIC (P Strydom) was restless in the stalls. b) DISTANT WINTER (G Wright) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GOLDEN PACIFIC (P Strydom), RED PALACE (D Ashby) and BLUE HOLLY (A Arries) raced green. b) Jockey S Veale reported that DRESSEDTOTHENINES, which was hanging out throughout, changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey R Fourie reported that SAVIC changed stride continually in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) Jockey K Steyn reported that he felt something amiss with IMPRESSIVE NESSIE. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) ROSE TINTED (R Munger) returned suffering from a bilateral epistaxis due to an exercise induced pulmonary haemorrhage and is suspended, for a period of 60 days, from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of The National Horseracing Authority of Southern Africa in terms of Rule 93.1.
