THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LOTS OF MAGIC (K de Melo) was restless in the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) DILLUH (T Godden) commenced to over-race for a short distance at the 1100m. b) Jockey K de Melo reported that LOTS OF MAGIC did not stride out freely in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) At the 1200m, LITTLE LADY (J Greyling) rolled in and thereafter was switched to the inside of LOTS OF MAGIC (K de Melo), which rolled out. d) Jockey T Godden signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction M, in that he mis-used his crop by striking the horse DILLUH more than 12 times in the entire race. In assessing penalty, the Board considered the number of times (15) Jockey T Godden struck the horse DILLUH, the fact that he won the race and his record (0) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1500 was imposed. e) DILLUH (T Godden), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D S Bosch advised (NS). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) PIXIE IN LOVE raced without blinkers (advised 10.01.23/07h57). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
