THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DARK TIDE (*M K Katjedi) was squeezed out shortly after the start. b) FEATHER THE NEST (K de Melo) and BIG CITY GIRL (J Greyling) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, DARK TIDE (*M K Katjedi) clipped the heels of BIG CITY GIRL (J Greyling), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) TIMBAVATI RIVER (R Munger) hung in from the 500m. Thereafter, shortly after the finish line, this gelding stumbled badly dislodging Jockey R Munger. c) Jockey C Maujean reported that he felt something amiss with BLACK BURNER in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Jockey J R Syster reported that JET CAT made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that WHAT A TIGER took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) Apprentice P Mxoli reported that TWICE AS WILD changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) Jockey Wes Marwing reported that he felt something amiss with BRIDGE OF SPIES in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. h) KING OF VENUS (*S Sosibo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (AH).
