THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LADY REGENT (K de Melo) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) TINDER DRY (S Khumalo) and LET THERE BE LIGHT (M Thackeray) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey K Matsunyane reported that WIKKEL SPIKKEL made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. b) Jockey D De Gouveia reported that EASTERN WORLD took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) LADY REGENT (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee M Ncube, acting on behalf of Trainer C Dawson, was advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) EASTERN WORLD: Jockey D De Gouveia weighed out at 54,3kg, 1,5kg over the carded weight of which 0,5kg was declared. Jockey D De Gouveia was charged with a contravention of Rule 55.4 in that he failed to weigh out at the correct carded weight on the horse EASTERN WORLD, or at the higher weight confirmed in his engagement with the Trainer. Jockey D De Gouveia signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1000 was imposed. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: None.
