THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JOLLIFICATION (M Yeni) fly-jumped and lost one length. b) VENETIAN LINK (T Godden) lost one length. c) SATURN MOON (*R Venniker) was stubborn to load. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) At the 400m, SATURN MOON (*R Venniker) steadied momentarily to avoid running onto the heels of GUTEN TAG (J Gates), which had come to the end of its run. b) Jockey C Habib the rider of GELSOMINA appeared before the Board and was questioned regarding his riding tactics, with particular reference to the movement made approaching the final straight. He explained to the Board that his filly commenced to over-race which resulted in him running onto heels and he felt he had to switch and race wide around the field and into the straight. Jockey Habib also noted that this filly has one eye which he felt contributed to the over-racing and awkward head carriage during the running of the race. Jockey Habib was of the opinion that due to this filly having one eye it resulted in her racing wider around the field than normal. The Board noted Jockey C Habib's explanation. c) LITTLE LADY (K de Melo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer W Marwing advised (NS).
