NAUGHTY BOY was fractious, reared and fell over in the stalls, was taken out, examined by the Veterinary surgeon and withdrawn. TANGO WITH TIGERS was reluctant to load. RED ROCK CANYON and BEAUMONT PARK jumped slow, losing 1 length. The start of this race was rescheduled due to a delay in Turffontein racing. There was a further delay when NAUGHTY BOY was withdrawn by the veterinary surgeon at the start after being injured in the stalls. In view of the report from the Starter regarding TANGO WITH TIGERS, Trainer Snaith was advised to have this gelding re schooled before his next engagement. In view of the report from the starter regarding NAUGHTY BOY, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he was suspended and until such time as he proves to be tractable on a racecourse with a companion. NAUGHTY BOY may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Jockey Domeyer was charged with a contravention, read with Guideline M on the use of the crop, in that he used his crop more than 12 times during the race whilst riding TURN IT UP HARVEY. Jockey Domeyer signed an admission of guilt and was fined. WATCH THIS TIGER, which raced green, raced awkwardly on the bend. TILLIEANGUS was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: NAUGHTY BOY - reared and fell over in the starting stalls. Scratched: NAUGHTY BOY - withdrawn at the start.
