THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SACRED VALLEY (G Pieterse) was stubborn loading. b) BIG CITY GIRL (*M K Katjedi) was slow losing three lengths. Stable Employee F Naude, acting on behalf of Trainer C Spies, was advised to reschool this mare prior to her next engagement (JB). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, SPLASH OF GREEN (Wes Marwing) was buffeted between PASHASHA (R Danielson) and ARDEN PARK (K de Melo), which was carried in by SACRED VALLEY (G Pieterse), which jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) SUPER SECRET (*D B Geerthsen) hung in from the 300m. c) Jockey K de Melo reported that he felt something amiss with ARDEN PARK in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) LADY OF POWER (P Strydom), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer J A Soma advised (LK).
