THE STARTER REPORTED: a) STALKER (*D B Geerthsen) and RIO SUPREMO (M Thackeray) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) YOURE MY SUNSHINE (R Simons) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey G Lerena reported that BROSNAN took no interest in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Jockey Wes Marwing reported that ABSOLUTE PLEASURE changed stride continually in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey M Thackeray reported that he felt something amiss with RIO SUPREMO in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) HEARTS THUNDER (*K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Webber advised (MduP). e) FULLIAUTOMATIX (J R Syster), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Webber advised (AH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
