MISSY J and CARMELLA lost two lengths. DAIDALA over-raced in the early stages. In view of the performance of SAN'S DANCER, Trainer Whitehead was advised to report back to the Stipendiary Board with regard to the condition of this mare on return to the stables. In a race, where the field angled towards the outside of the course in the straight, SILVER RAISIN and MISSY J came together and bumped on at least two occasions at the 400m. Thereafter, at the 350m, SILVER RAISIN switched in to continue her run when awkwardly placed between NOT NOW PUSSYCAT, which shifted out and MISSY, which rolled in. In view of the performance of KARATAGE the Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. NOT NOW PUSSYCAT was hanging in from the 200m. SPRING BREEZE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. DESERT SONG raced with alumites in front, unshod behind. Vet: KARATAGE - nothing obvious detected. BEQUIA - cast left for shoe.
